Reproduction headlight vacuum cannister or actuator for 1968-1982 Corvette. Mounts on headlight frame and lifts or lowers headlight bucket or housing. Complete assembly includes actuator seals and accordian boot for an easy installation. Specify LH or RH when ordering.
Note: When installing the headlight actuator - often times left or right sides are confused. Original installations featured the vacuum nipple pointed to the OUTSIDE of the Corvette. Often times upon replacement the actuators are mixed up and the correct installation is reversed. This reversal causes issues with the routing of the vacuum hoses allowing the hood to catch or pinch the hose when closed. Zip has also noted that on many 1980-1982 Corvettes the canisters may have been installed this way from the factory due to the change in vacuum source. Please confirm the installation prior to ordering. Our vacuum canisters will come with nipple pointed to the outside of the Corvette.
