The friction surface used is an incredibly strong 1045 steel. Friction plates are milled to meet high specifications. The replaceable surface is attached with military grade aerospace fasteners. With these replaceable friction plates there is no need to replace the entire flywheel when your Corvette's clutch or flywheel is at the end of it's life, saving time and money.
Ring gears are made from 1050 steel, heat treated for durability. Ring gears are heated and then pressed on and secured with grade 8 button screws. The stepped dowel system ensures that once the pressure plate is installed the dowels cannot be removed because they become locked into place. Fits all 2005-2013 LS2, LS3 & LS7 Corvettes.
