The Zero7 Extractor hood was designed by ACS to highlight the style and performance of the Corvette Stingray. The Extractor Hood includes a true waterfall feature that drops into the Corvette's factory radiator duct work. An ABS plastic octagonal mesh grill insert protects the ductwork. The additional 30mm taller center section and longer cowl not only creates extra engine clearance (for a potential top mounted supercharger) but also provides an aggressive look which will surely make your Corvette stand tall on the show field.
ACS' extractor hood in FRP is manufactured in Fiberglass Reinforced Glass - the hood features the same styling as ACS' carbon hoods but with a cost saving in materials. Hoods are then trimmed using a CNC robotic water jet for a clean, smooth cut on every part. The result is better fitting panel, reducing body shop installation and fitment times. Standard hoods are designed to be completely painted.
ACS Corvette hood's feature OEM brackets mounted to the inner structure of the hood to insure a ready to bolt on part. The ACS Corvette hoods have another feature not found in aftermarket Corvette hoods but is present on the stock hood, reinforcements at the rear of the hood for the hood bumpers and the crash tabs. These brackets create the reinforcement necessary in a front end collision to cause the hood to fold in half instead of coming through the windshield. ACS is an OEM manufacturer producing hoods for the SLP Camaros and the GT-40 FORD.
