Replacement 1957-1962 & 1963 w/o Hiperf Corvette oil dipstick. Black flat steel dipstick handle. Includes fill marks and felt seal for connection to oil dipstick tube.
Black handle dipsticks were used on ALL 1963 early production Corvettes including base motor and Hiperf applications. After the 2nd week of November 1962, 1963 Hiperf Corvettes came with chrome handled dipsticks.
Note: Some new reproduction dipsticks may fit very tightly into reproduction or original dipstick tubes - to create a smoother installation or removal of the oil dipstick simply "flatten" the retaining spring by depressing in a vice until the desired tightness is achieved.
