1963-1967 Corvette gas tank installation kit. Zip has assembled the additional items needed for a typical C2 Corvette gas tank installation. Perfect for the customer purchasing a new reproduction gas tank and needs all the hardware for a proper installation. Includes filler neck screws, gas tank straps with anti-squeak pads, strap mounting bolts and tank lower support anti-squeak pads.
Some installation components are included with Zip's reproduction gas tanks including the sending unit retaining ring, sending unit o-ring and the cork gasket for the filler neck mounting.
Note: To aid installation - Zip recommends using gas tank straps without the prebent hook. This configuration allows for the strap to be installed on the front bracket/crossmember with the bolt and then inserted into the rear frame crossmember and the hook then being made with the strap in position. Making the hook at this time helps tighten the strap with the front bolt already in place. Final tightening then takes place with the front bolt.
