Original 1963-1982 Corvette strut rod bushings were molded into the cast iron strut rod. Overtime these bushings fail due to rubber deterioration causing issues with alignment. The fix at times has been for the alignment shop to manually bend the strut rod to get the rear wheels in alignment. Polyurethane bushings do not require a "steel" outer shell for installation and therefore can be installed without the use of a shop press. Car set.
Note: 1963-1974 Corvette original strut rods use 1 1/4" diameter bushings; 1975-1982 Corvette strut rods use1 3/8" diameter bushings. Please measure strut rods when purchasing bushings as the strut rods have been changed on many early Corvettes to the later design.
