63-77 Differential Cover
New reproduction 1963-1977 Corvette differential rear cover. Includes heavy-duty spring mount bolt reinforcements to address a common problem found on factory Corvette rear end covers. Often times longer than factory spring mount bolts are installed with impact wrenches causing the covers to crack and leak rear end fluid. Includes pipe threads for fill plug as found on 1965-1977 Corvettes.
Always check spring mount bolts prior to installation to make sure you have the correct length bolt depending on the width and application of your Corvette's rear spring. 1963-1977 Corvettes used a 2 1/4" width rear spring, 1978-1979 Corvettes used a 2 1/2" width rear spring. When ordering a rear end cover, please verify the rear spring width, as many times this part has been replaced with a universal GM part. For use with 2 1/4" rear leaf spring.
Note: Can be used for 1963-1964 Corvettes, must use the later design fill plug to complete installation. See Zip # SU-590 .
