65-82 Disc Brake Overhaul Kit (Rebuilt Calipers w/O-Ring Seal)
This item requires $320 of core charges. Customers who have purchased a product sold on an exchange basis and had a core deposit applied must return the required rebuildable core within 30 days from the date of shipment. A copy of the original invoice must accompany the return. Failure to return cores within 30 days may result in a reduction or loss of the core deposit. Return freight for cores is the responsibility of the customer.
From original Delco Moraine housings - Corvette brake calipers are cleaned, inspected and rebuilt with stainless steel sleeves, then reassembled using all new OE components including o-ring design pistons, springs, seals, bleeder screws and pad pins. O-ring design pistons are an excellent choice for Corvettes that are stored for long periods of use. Calipers are then pressure tested for a leak-free installation. Fits both 1965-1966 Corvettes 1st design & 1967-1982 Corvettes 2nd design calipers.

1965-1982 Corvette disc brake overhaul kit includes:
- (4) Stainless steel sleeved o-ring design brake calipers
- (8)Caliper mount bolts with washers
- (8) Premium organic disc brake pads with pins and cotter keys
- (4) Rubber brake hoses
- Brake hose "U" clips and copper washers
- Trailing arm steel caliper lines
- (1) quart dot 3 brake fluid
Note: Rebuilt calipers are sold on exchange. Add $80.00 per wheel, refundable core charge if rebuildable cores do not accompany order.
Note: Zip does not recommend using Dot 5 brake fluid. Dot 5 silicone brake fluid will void the warranty (1-year warranty) as changes in chemistry involved in production of silicone brake fluid may have adverse effects on the rubber components including piston seals and o-rings.
Original-Style vs. O-Ring Seal:
Lip seal piston seals were factory installed in 1965-1982 calipers, and if you are wanting to keep your Corvette 100% correct they are the way to go. However, be aware that prolonged inactivity and/or worn brake components are the enemy of the lip seal design. If you enjoy exercising your Corvette heartily, or, conversely, your pride and joy often sits for extended periods, O-ring seals are the better choice. Superior in design all-around, O-rings offer the best sealing possible.
