00-04 Headlight Motor Replacement Gear

2000-2004 Corvette headlight motor gears include the insert. Fits both LH or RH side. Made in USA.

Note: Individual rebuild of 2000-2004 Corvette headlight motors is very difficult as the housing was not originally designed to be "split" for gear replacement. Due to release agents used in the molds - standard adhesives will not hold the housing to ensure a leak free installation. To combat this problem a headlight motor t-brace was designed to secure the housing into position. With the use of the t-brace, standard adhesives can be used for sealing purposes. 1997-2004 C5 Corvettes came from the factory with (2) different style headlight motors. 1997-1999 Corvettes came from the factory with the 1st design. These motors feature a die cast metal housing and (3) screws that secure the headlight motor gear housing. 2000 Corvette featured the 2nd design headlight motor which is manufactured of injection molded plastic and does not feature screws securing the headlight motor gear cover. The gear cover was sealed from the factory and was not intended to be serviced. It's important to verify the headlight motor style on 2000 Corvettes as some early 2000 models have been found with the 1st design headlight motor.
