53-82 Aero-Rivet II Tool
The 1953-1982 Corvette Aero-Rivet II Tool is the ultimate solution to the rivet setting dilemma found on many early Corvettes. The Aero-Rivet II setting tool allows for the precision setting of steel, aluminum, brass tubular and semi-tubular rivets found on re-bound straps, window channels, heater boxes, fresh air vents, ignition ground straps and vent doors without damaging the material being riveted.
CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and uses high grade steel components. Its overall size is 4" x 3.5" with a 2" x 2.5" throat opening. The rivet tool is supplied with three-depth adjustable rivet head bases, designed for truss head rivets or flat head rivets and four interchangeable rivet setting/fold-over tips for a variety of different sized rivets. The rivet setting tips are hardened for greater durability and longer tool life. Designed to set rivets from either end of tool. Patent # US8381565B2. Made in USA.
