53-82 Electronic Tachometer Conversion Signal Generator
Zip's 1953-1974 Corvette electronic tachometer signal generator is designed to calibrate the electronic tachometers on the bench prior to installing into your Corvette. Perfect for 1975-1982 Corvette owners installing a new tachometer circuit board (with adjustment pot) or 1953-1974 Corvette owners upgrading to an electronic tachometer conversion.
Absolutely the most accurate way to calibrate the tachometer especially when considering the alternative is to hold a timing light and keep your Corvette at a certain RPM while trying to adjust the tachometer. Not sure how you are going to do that! The new electronic tachometer generator emulates the signal coming from the distributor allowing you to adjust the tachometer prior to installation. signals can be generated at both high and low frequencies giving you the ability to make adjustments at both low and high RPM measurements. Perfect for dialing in your electronic tachometer and ensuring you don't exceed the redline.
Once calibrated your electronic tachometer is ready for installation and you be able to mash the throttle with confidence. Designed to work with tachometer circuit boards that feature the adjustable pot and tachometer electronic conversion kits including Zip's # D-1017.
