Low cost, easy-to-install solution to allow for the AUTOMATIC operation of the torque converter lock-up (overdrive) without the need of a computer or manual toggle switch to perform the same operation. Perfect for late-model transmission upgrades in early Corvettes.
This torque converter lock-up switch kit is installed externally from the transmission and can be used on 700R4 or 2004R transmissions. Kit includes a fuse holder & fuse that obtains power from a 12 volt keyed ignition source, a pressure switch that screws into the transmission's 4th gear oil pressure port and is wired to the torque converter connection on the transmission. With the ignition on, upon detecting that the transmission is in 4th gear, the pressure switch is activated. This switches (locks) the torque converter into overdrive mode. Includes installation instructions.
